This 10 week program is designed to improve Survivor's health, well-being and
disabilities that result from stroke. Following rehabilition, it is recommended that
stroke Survivors continue with physical activity. Yoga for Stroke Survivors
incorporates stretching, strengthening, breathing, balance, and movement, as well as
providing much needed social support from others having similar experiences.
Participants are screened prior to the program, so that each class can be custom
designed for the participants.
Check with your physician before starting any exercise program. All participants with heart disease will need clearance from their physicians prior to the start of the program.
